If an animal remains unclaimed after the legally mandated stray hold has ended, staff/volunteers from both facilities will work together to transfer animals deemed adoptable (with regard to temperament and health) to our premiere adoption center in Wyandotte.ġ. DCAC staff and volunteers work diligently to reunite strays with their owners, and to evaluate all animals in the facility to determine if any require medical attention. All of our adoptions are handled by our adoption center, Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center (WAC). We do not perform adoptions at our facility. Our facility handles stray intakes, owner surrenders, investigations of animal abuse and neglect, and other animal control matters.
